I am tall and slim. So it must be a distortion mirror.

Probably it's the lighting. Pink imparts a rosy glow and softens features. Stark white emphasizes lines, wrinkles, whatever. :)

No I am at the age where I avoid looking in to mirrors and that way I do not realize how old I am.

I would think that lighting would be a factor in how your image is reflected in each mirror.

I highly doubt in my case that a mirror is going to help with my looks. However I would like to find one. :)

I've always said that. Same thing with pictures. You can take two of me at the same time. It will look like two different people.

Yes. It depends on the lighting of the room you are in. Also, if a mirror is slightly slanted so the bottom is tipped toward you, you will look thinner in that mirror.

I look much better in square mirrors in which I can only see my face, as opposed to full length mirror, where I can look at my whole body. Hmm..Wonder why?

Lighting as others have replied. Also other colors that you see and your attitude - I just feel better about myself some time so I see me and the world in a better light. +5

I used to go an amusement park where they have mirror that make you look short and fat and another make you look tall and thin.
