  • I would say no, furthermore is an immediate continuation of the previous thought. Not enough separation for paragraphs. But I'm not an expert as you can see from the way I started this sentence.
  • That's fine. Furthermore, I rare see it not used at the beginning of a sentence.
  • It is okay to start a new sentence with "furthermore", but not a new paragraph. It is similar to saying "also", and it would need to be following a previous thought, as it would either modify or add to it.
  • Further more is like saying "and another point I'm trying to get across is...." You need to end the sentence ususally to start another using this word.
  • there are better ways of beginning a sentence. for instance, "In addition to...."
