Yes, I will earn my respect myself.

Yes I would. That person deserves the credit for what they did. I would feel better knowing I didn't take credit for something I didn't do. Plus, a boss would hopefully be impressed by my honesty.

Yes. Taking credit for someone else's achievement makes you a cheater and a lier. Not traits that will help achieve any positive goals in life.

Yes, it could be a test. 1 time, after my 1 week vacation, my boss came in and started yelling at me saying I posted a check to the wrong account or something. I said sorry, it won't happened again. I did some research and traced it. The check was posted on the day I was on vacation! Looks like someone didn't take credit for that mistake and I was blamed. Needless to say, I stayed there for about 6 more month and left. LOL. I was the only non-white, non-hispanic there and they took advantage of me. I mean,1 guy handling the accounting "department". It was seriously understaffed and they refused to hire any help for me. Found a better job, more pay and more respect and a better company. Looks good on my resume.

Yes, I would

Sure, it is going to come out eventually anyway!

I would let my boss know that it wasn't me. I don't need someone elses credit.
