  • Use rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball to clean.
  • Actually i would reccomend, sea salt and warm water. Sea salt will heal it faster and not burn like hell.
  • It needs real body jewelry. It probably stings because you have cheap metal with high nickel content. Or because it's starting a nice little infection from god knows what was on that safety pin. Pixie is right about the cleaning. And I have to say it again, if you don't know these things BEFORE you decide to pierce yourself, then you can't be surprised at any negative consequences. This is something you should know before a professional piercing, much less one that isn't. Those that have taken the time to research self piercing and have any luck with it know what aftercare to use. And they don't use safety pins.
