At my parents home, they do. For me personally I either drop it off at the church around the corner or drop it off by the bin near the Target.

Definately and i never throw anything away when it can be put to good use.It is estimated that 70 per cent of the worlds population rely on second hand goods in many forms not to mention the third world or because of disasters in one place and another!

They don't pick them up, but I'll drop them off at Goodwill, Salvation Army or the boxes for the battered women's shelters near the schools. It just depends which route I'm taking at the time.

I have done that but the usual is to take them to the Good Will store along with other donated items. I have dropped off coats at the local City Mission when they put out a call for warm clothing.

I drop mine at the Cancer Society store. I gather clothes and everything else we don't need, that are in a good condition.

Everytime I have something useable I take it to an organization called "Keneset" / they recycle clothes and give to the needy plus the people doing the work are people who have trouble finding work because of the fact / many of them have down-synodrom and are adults. Some companys wont hire them in society so its good some group teaches them a skill so they can survive. Where I live the post office yearly picks up a box of can goods and gives it to local food pantrys; I do this too. Back 100 yrs. ago / Churches use to care for the poor with meals and solid food giveaways; I dont know if this still exists but its a good idea.
