Regretting the surgery are we.

What do you mean by feeling that everything is fake? Is it derealisation (Sense of things being unreal) This is not normal but does affect a portion of people who suffer from anxiety and its awful to experience and can be caused by extreme levels of anxiety or the after effects of panic attacks. It does lift but can take 5 or more days before you feel back to normal again.

It may be that you are picking up on something through your own intuition but perhaps your thinking about it in such a complex way that you are confusing yourself?
-
In a very profound way, everything is fake. Reality only exist because you are paying your attentive awareness to it.

dont eat the MUSHROOMS
-
Maybe because everything IS fake. Maybe you're a solipsist, and the whole universe is merely a figment of your imagination...
-
I would tell you but you are only imagining me.
-
Because you have been looking inside too much, and not participating in the outside world enough. Do some volunteer work at the Boys and Girls club, at your local hospital, or at the food bank, and you will be better grounded in reality.

it is easy to feel what you are feeling because you are right. Show me one thing that is real in this world. in this world of illusion that we call reality. Its deeper than just on a physical level. The world appears so real. this is probably not what you are talking about, huh? But because the world is made up of thought and is not what it appears to be, sometimes it is easy to see the unreal nature of things. But are you talking designer jean knockoffs, and human emotion type stuff? it's all related. So whichever your direction of thought, if you find that which is real in your life, then all that fakeness will just disappear. Love is part of that which is real, on every level.

Maybe cause you've had bad experience in the past.
-
If you asked a Buddhist the response might be "because everything really is an illusion (or Maya)". Perhaps a way to frame your experience is that you are sensing how illusory this whole life is. You didn't ask a Buddhist, but I found your question really interesting from that perspective.
-
because, maybe , there is not much REALITY in your life...real people and circumstances?thatsJustme:)

Time to read Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger
-
maybe im not on the same page as you but i rarely feel like anything is real like this whole life is just a fuckin video game or something, i sometimes tell myself maybe i just need to have more meaning in my life, but i do, i have a good job, lots of responsibilities, tons of genuinely good friends but i dunno, sometimes i just look around and wonder what the fuck is all this for, whats the purpose, what the hell are we trying to accomplish here.....
-
This is not rare. I've felt this way myself at many times during my life. Even while fully engaged in something ( a firefight in Vietnam springs to mind ), there's still a sense of unreality. Most autorities think this is a natural offshoot of consciousness. My personal belief is that this happens because we are essentially spiritual beings in a material world; our subconscious realizes this and thus the air of unreality.

Elaborate more on what do You mean by fake and give examples.

It may be because 80% of all labels have either Made in China or some other foreign country's name on it. Do they make anything in America anymore?
-
because it is
-
Maybe it is. Have you ever seen "The Truman Show?"
-
I suppose in a way it is. Things change from moment to moment and if they were not fake, they would not change. Maybe we just have to acclimatise to living in a world of duality. Some people feel it; others don't. It doesn't have to be a bad thing and, in fact, if practised properly, can make life easier.
-
Kind of like the adage truth is stranger than fiction. idk, thought i'd throw it out there
-
Because you have a negative attitude.
-
Because you are fake and thus judging everything by your blinkered, dubious standards.
-
Depersonalization disorder.
