don't you actually have to get snow to have a need for those :)
-
No, we change over to very aggressive snow tires for the season. Back in California we used them when we traveled up to the mountains. But no one uses them here around us. They are on tractors and that's about it.
-
The last time it snowed where I live it was 1988.
-
I want to but not sure if they're legal. I know the state plow trucks use them and I remember helping my brother put them on his delivery truck years ago. I've already got studded snow tires but wouldn't mind the added chains one bit.
-
The snow does not get very bad here. I have a 4x4 for when it gets bad which handles the snow fine without chains.
-
Snow chains are illegal here, studded tires can be used from Nov. 1st to May 1st and I was thinking of getting some but did not. I have all weather tires and hope they will be good enough.
-
I live where there is snow 5 months of the year and nobody drives around in chains. Chains are for rural roads, frozen lakes.
-
Yes
-
I haven't even seen someone put chains on a car in over 30 years. Front wheel and all-wheel drives have pretty much eliminated that need.
-
I've never 'chained up',where I live but,I've driven over the road truck for 29 yrs,I have had my share of 'chaining up' truck tires. After the first few years you get wiser, and learn "If I have to put chains on,I have no business going .It's time to stop and wait it out"
-
Not in town, but to go anywhere fun, like Reno or Lake Tahoe, they are required.
-
No, there against the law.
-
Only out in the country...but yes we need them. the roads get very slick
-
i'm in florida... what's snow? : P
-
On the tractor, yes.
-
You hardly ever see anyone in Alaska with chains on. You would get laughed at! Every once in a whole you will see someone plowing with them on but I've never needed them plowing either.
-
No, it doesn't normally snow here.
-
No, I prefer to stay home during a blizzard.

I guess, if you lived in New England, you'd end up spending half the year inside!
