Wow. GREAT QUESTION. Goku does die a lot, as do Vegeta and a few others, including Krillin at least once, courtesy of Queer Frieza. I would say that one main character dies per story arc. Story arcs include Saiyan arc (Raditz fight and Vegeta/Nappa fight), Namek arc, Android arc (including Cell), and Majin Buu arc. Do you otaku?
