  • No, because even people who claim to 'live off the grid' are deluding themselves. Do such people have tools as simple as a buckknife? If so, that implies iron mines, coal mines, steel factories, knife factories, roads, trucks to transfer materials on those roads, electrical power plants to light the street lights, banks to provide capital, government to regulate all the transactions, etc., etc., etc. So, unless you go out naked and make your own stone tools from scratch, you are not truly 'living off of the grid' I concede that people who do the illusory 'living off of the grid' lifestyle might have useful lessons to the rest of us who lead more materialistic wasteful lifestyles. But we need to be clear about the goals and limitations of such a lifestyle. . . .
  • Do you mean electric grid? We do. We'd rather have our own windmills that generate enough electricity for us and have tons left over to sell back to the utility company. If you mean something else, then please explain. Thanks. Happy Friday! :)

  • One day I would love to start living off grid. But not for ever may be for few months. It must be fun in someway. I have even planned little bid for it. Liking using renewable sources of energy through solar panels. Solar panels dont cost too much. I came across through a a site which helped me alot in collecting information. http://www.earthforenergykits.com
