  • Yes. I am married for a very long time now.It was a challenge to me to take her out by her sister, because I was the daring type. Her sister had told me no one will be willing to go out with me because I was so dark and ugly looking. So I took up the challenge and slowly and surely I worked up her heart and finally married her. Her sister had to eat her words.

  • Mine was a blind date. I went with my friends to a club, they introduced us, he asked me to dance and I said yes but then when I got to the dance floor and heard what the song was I changed my mind....."why don't we get drunk and screw" and I left him on the dance floor by himself. Later he came over and when he tried to talk to me he spilled his beer down the back of my pants.....All I could do was laugh because it was so disastrous and I promised him a date the following weekend. That was 7 years ago and thank God he was just having a bad night!
  • We went into town and I got my tragus pierced, (he has his done too) then we sat in the park for hours and just found out more about each other. Later on that night we went for drinks with some friends, got hammered and kissed in the taxi all the way home. It rocked :)
  • We were good friends for almost a year before we started dating. After getting over the fear that dating might harm our friendship we found it made it even stronger. We had a great time, and have been together 37 years.
  • We had a terrific time. Because I was only 14 and he was nearly 19, he arranged for a large group of people, adults, kids, teens, all to go see a movie, The Love Bug. We went for pizza beforehand, chose that because he figured everybody loves pizza. Little did he know that at the time, that was one food I just hated! He was very embarrassed but I thought it was very sweet of him. We had a fun time with everyone nearly 40 years later, we're still together:-)
  • it was awkward. my hubby got so nervous that halfway through our meal he had to run to the bathroom to throw up (i didn't find that out until years after.i just thought the man had to pee alot :D). then he was so embarrassed that, combined with the fact that he thought i was too young for him (theres a 5 year difference), he decided that he wasn't going to call me for a second date. then i forgot something in his car and had to see me again and the SECOND date was a little bit more magical than the first.
  • Strangers in the night ………. Love at first site……. By Frank Sinatra
  • My husband and I never really dated. I met him in the shop across the road from where I lived. He worked there. I just remember that everytime I went over there his workmates would try to keep me occupied while someone ran to find Ralf (my husband). He finally asked me out to coffee. I didn't think of anything romantic because he was 20 years younger then me. He made up excuses all of the time to see me. Then after about a month he asked me to marry him. I was shocked. We hadn't even kissed. I said no. But after 3 months of his constants phone calls and SMS's I said yes. We've been very happily married for 3 years now.
  • well...my husband was my boyfriends boss (don't shoot me yet, my boyfriend was cheating on me) I don't think we ever went on a 'date' we just started hangin out, and one thing lead to another, 3 months later he said....so ya wanna get married..I said sure, the next day we bought rings, that weekend we got married, 14 years later and we are still here....
  • fantastic - we worked together and after work on a Friday, we decided to go out for supper and we have been together ever since. We will celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary in February.
  • I remember our first date very well. I felt so pretty and the whole night felt magical. I couldn't believe I had found someone so wonderful. We went to a symphony and the music added to that feeling. I remember the night so well. It was chilly and I was holding my now boyfriend's hand and his arm was touching my side. I walked in so happy because I felt like I was on top of the world! That was two years ago and we are still together-he lives with me now! :) Thanks for asking this question and giving me the opportunity to think back about that day! :)
  • we went to the beach at night, walked and sat on the sea wall, talking and watching the boats come in he kissed my hand... married 26+ yrs, going strong
  • My wife and I talked for about 3 hours when we first met and then went to a movie. The 3 hours went by like magic. Neither of us could believe we had been talking that long. Then when we went to the movies and it was a war movie. I have been in martial arts and also had been in the military for a long time so when I started flinching and reacting to the violient scenes she started wondering what the heck she had gotten into. But, that was many years ago and here we are. I love it when she tells me that I make her happier than she ever thought she could be. And, I worship the ground she walks on. Thank you, God, for the most wonderful person on this planet being in my life.
