well if you got you're period you may not be preg. Usually when you are you dont get you're period (unless its some rare case and you do continue to get you're period although you may be preg. it's not uncommon but rare). When you have intercourse and miss you're period you are supposed to wait 9-10days after you miss you're period to test. In some cases you may be able to test sooner but not always get the right result ie: False neg of False pos. Hope this helps
