  • It will be swallowed up by the Sun. Some time around 5-10 billion years from now.
  • We'll damage the o-zone layer, & the sun's rays will melt all the glaciers in the world & the whole world will flood. Seeing as that this happend to fast for us to establish a society in water, we will eventually all die out. Or get burned by the sun's rays.... But that's just what I think.
  • mankind, whether by ignorance or laziness, we will suffer the consequences of our doing in the future
  • To be honest I believe that as long as there are souls who wish to learn in the ways that are unique to learning on earth, there will be an earth.
  • With every government playing "Banana Phone" and the Barney song "I love You" constantly on every media possible. Everybody will commit suicide by running into the ocean and swimming as far as they can or jumping into volcanoes. Also a bunch of countries to combat other ones will polute enough to totally ruin the ozone layer.
  • well i was watching the discovery channel the other day and it said that in a certain number of years we are going to have a huge earthquake in the middle of the ocean which is going to spark another tsunami... which in turn is going to wash away a lot of the united states. I personally think they were pulling that out of their butt. I think the world is going to end in fiery destruction... every imagionable thing will happen wihtin a short span of time.
  • Personally, I believe that the world will outlast the human race. I think that we will succumb to some biological disease or famine before the earth is doomed. I think that other species might outlast us.
  • I see one of two ways for the world to end. If my religion is correct, then Jesus will return to usher in the end of it in its current state. If my religion is wrong, then the world will end when the Sun balloons into a red giant and swallows the Earth.
  • My opinion is natural disasters and disease will wipe out the human race but the world won't end.
  • According to my religion this world wouldn't last long enough. The code of the bible states some sort of tusami in california in 2010, and it stated some tragedy this year, which was proven false. I think our Saviour Christ will come at day and night, like a robber in the sky, and surprise us at Judgement Day.
  • When Chuck Norris decides it ends. He will simply roundhouse kick the world and humanity will be over as we know it.
  • I think the world will probably end by being struck by a meteorite. Or at least, everything on earth will die. Does that count as the end of the world if the planet is technically still there? I guess eventually the sun will grow so big it will cook everything on earth and then slowly get so big it will just absorb the earth. When? No clue.
  • It'll be in roughly 1027 years when we humans finally put eachother out of existence for good... I interpreted this vision from my fortune cookie, yesterday.
  • I don't know. Honestly I don't I even want to think about that. I have too much worry and stress in my life the way it is. Just enjoy life. :] Ps... I don't think it will be for a long long time.
  • There is basically no proof that I am right but I think the end of the days might be closer than what we think. The night and day will be one together fogged by a think cloud and a bright light blinding everyone. The ones with faith in G-d will rise to the sky and reach heaven. Of course this might not be true, but I go with my interpretation of the bible. More scientifically sticking to science and not religion, glaciers will melt due to excessive radition from the sun and global warming. Melting all the Pole, creating a dramatic increase of sea level. Drowning everything in it's path covering continents with huge bodies of water.
  • 2072 by global warming.
  • Please flag.
  • People will force it to come. Because they think it need to happen.
  • I think it'll be a virus, either naturally produced or created as a biological weapon.
  • Well, if the human race somehow lives for 5 billion years, earth will become inhatiable becaue the sun will turninto a redgiant and then a whitedwarf making earth unhabitable. But thats only if we dont end up blowing ourselves up in the next century or 2
  • with a great big beer party!
  • In a rain of missiles.
  • In tragedy.
  • Engulfed by an enlarged sun.
  • Depends on how what we do right now. If we fix our ways and everything goes very nicely for... a long, LONG time, then it will be the Sun. If we keep going as we are now, but get all these wars finshed, but keep poulting and the such, it could very well be Global Warming. If the war gets out of hand, it could end in nuclear warfare. Or, it could be some freak thing I can't predict.
  • The world consists of energy and matter and will keep restructuring itself and eventually turn into another form of itself, that even if we were alive to see it, we would probably not even recognize. I am certain that all of us on AB will be deep in the dirt by that time occurs.
  • Personally, I think it's rather arrogant of us humans to assume that something a relatively trivial as pollution or global warming or even a meteor strike of 'Total Extinction' proportions could bring about the "End of the World". There are many, many possible events that could wipe out the human race and bring about the end of the world *As we know it*, but let me tell you something, the world as a whole will probably continue to get along just fine for a long while after the total extinction of human civilisation, so contemplating the literal "End of the World" is trivial. That being said, I think there are a number of ways that our civilisation could be ended, but the top contenders are probably: -Global Warming from all the pollution we've been dumping into the atmostphere over the past few centuries. -Nuclear War from all the hatred and conflict that we've bred amongst ourselves with our irrational clinging to concepts like "Religion" and "Race" etc. or -Major epidemics of deadly diseases that have evolved because of all our meddling with the evolution of illnesses and simultanious weakening of our own immune systems.
  • Our own stupidity. Allowing things to get to far out of control I think.
  • As the book of Revelations states.
  • I think it will end when all the politically correct, pain the backside people, get so frustrated at having nothing fun left to ban, that they all spontaneously combust at the same time thus blowing up the Earth.
  • if i ever get my hands on some sort of doomsday device...about three minutes or so after i figure out how it works
  • For my answer, please see the following link: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/end
  • Global warming, the "trash" up-rate, world domination, the sun or planet exploding, or even a meteor that missed it's window.. ending up hitting us?
  • 'not with a bang but a whimper' --i have no idea when
  • I won't care as long as I'm dead, lol. But I don't think the world will ever end
  • I don't believe the world will end but I think it will go through alot of changes, I believe we will leave this planet and explore the universe, humans love the challenge of discovery. Unfortunately it won't be in my life time and I am really disappointed with that.
  • I think the “death” of the world will occur very slowly. As the population increase, we will cause more and more damage to the environment. Also…the growing population will lead to a greater demand for resources. Once the demand for resources outnumbers the supply, chaos will ensue and only the strong will survive. We will have to fight for everything and we will not have the time or money to take care of the environment. Eventually, our planet will become so toxic that no one will be able to survive. The world will continue to remain in existence but there will be no living entities.
  • As God sees fit.
  • TheLucidEnigma nailed it. Humans will be the demise of our planet, as we are the ultimate parasite, using up anything useable, leaving behind waste, then moving on. We will soon run out of places to use up.
  • However God wants it to end and no good speculating. As short as our life spans are, to us the world will seem to be eternal.
  • Fire. Jesus Christ, the same God that created the world, will destroy it by fire and create a new heaven and a new earth. I hope that this helps. :) -In the service of the Master. Thank you and God bless you!
  • when the sun turns into a red giant and swallows all of the planets!!!
  • The earth will end in stages. You know how everybody is making predictions about it and these dates keep passing by without anything happening which is driving people to think that earth will never end. Well guess what... IT WILL!!! The whole global warming thing will happen and the temperatures will be 20+ degrees hotter. We'll lose all or most of the cold- bearing animals. That big hole in the ozone layer will get bigger and bigger and the sun's rays will crisp the earth. Only people like our worthless president will survive in his underground bunker but not for long. A few million years later, the sun will cool and expand to an incredible size swallowing or consuming the inner planets including earth. Dont count on a new planet to sustain life because there comes a time for everything to end and that includes earth. The ultimate end of earth WILL be the sun swallowing it so all of the stages of earth's ends are hot hot hot and scorching.
  • When the sun becomes a red giant although it may survive that. There are so many wonderful options but that is the most likely. Not global warming though or nuclear war etc. That may end US but not the planet.
  • Well it began with the big bang It will end with a series of smaller ones! Actually when the sun's pilot light is extinguished and can't be relit.
  • god will come from wence (wherever the hell that is)and judge the living and the dead.
  • Quietly, on a thursday
  • yes it will end one day either human cause or by nature taking its course, you hear so many perdictions of when this will happen but really only time will tell.
  • The human kind will never retreat, and never surender !
  • When the sun burns out, causing intense global freezing and all life forms on it will cease to exist. Yeah, sorry Al Gore, it's global freezing, and not warming, that is going to do us all in.
  • I think by an epedemic. Plague. You know.
  • The light will go out because no-one has put eny mor cosmic coins in the Universe Meter. God has run out of the right kind of coin.
  • The sun will go into supernova and it will be incinerated. I doubt anyone will be around to experience it though.
  • i think it will die when the sun burns out in about ...5,000 years
  • It will be mans own doing. We all know that.
  • The Holocaust as prophesised
  • The Holocaust
  • The Holocaust
  • The sun will swell into a red giant, and the Earth will be swallowed by it.
  • It comes to an end for thousands every day
  • Cancelled by Intergalactic Communications Company for lack of interest. They're gonna have a spin-off called "Mars" starting off the fall line-up.
  • True that.
  • I agree with Rigby, our sun will die and the planets orbiting it will turn into chucks of interstellar ice. But, through our own stupidity and short-sightedness, we'll be long gone before that happens.
  • How are we supposed to know?
  • Credit...
  • Does it really matter?
  • When the world is about to end we will know then but what I really think is we going to burn up,freeze to death or water might cover the whole world washing everything away.GOD IS COMING
  • short of the sun blowing up, it won't end. We as humans might, but the world won't.
  • When i tell the aliens to launch the missile.
  • Just as the Bible says, Christ will appear, every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
  • As we know it... probably with a fizzle in the form of the evolution of humans to the point of where they cannot interbreed. (I don't think that war could wipe out everyone, nor disease) As a rock in space... a bang as it is engulfed by an expanding sun in 5 billion years.
  • The screwfly solution
  • Its got something to do with global warming.
  • We are all going to run out of money, and we will all starve to death as we look at Bill Gates' mansion wishing we can go inside for some bread crumbs.
  • A natural, unavoidable cataclysmic disaster.
  • The Sun will do it's 'White Dwarf' act and fry the Earth. We have about 5 million years to make other arrangements yo...
  • "3 DAYS AFTER I AM CORONATED QUEEN OF THE PLANET"
  • With a great BIG BANG!
  • It will Implode
  • bush will get re-elected to the whitehouse...
  • Let's talk it after a little while: some billion(et)years! Prof. Mes
  • It will end with humans hatred for one another. We will destroy out own planet, for political or religious reasons. We've gotta spread the love!
  • Stupidity from mankind.
  • Interstellar space aliens will wage a war over space rights and cosmic travel routes... and we'll be caught in the middle doing our best to negotiate. At a crucial moment, the diplomatic process will let us down, and instead of choosing a side, we'll declare our neutrality. In doing so, both sides will declare hostilities upon planet Earth, and all of its creatures. After a protracted double fronted war, our world will be destroyed by a combination of biological and thermal warfare. The race will continue to live on, and inhabit other planets. After a few thousand years of reestablishment and population growth, our technological level will allow us to retrace our history, and realise the extent to which the interstellar aliens hurt our people. In secret we will build an armada, train up troops and launch a very decisive strike against one of the aggressors. They will capitulate, and draw up a treaty. The other will probe our defenses, and, upon realising our superiority, also draw up a treaty. So we shall then enter a new Golden Era. That's what I think.
  • When the sun takes it out. Just a "poof" sound.
  • when so called loving and understanding organised religions drag the world into another war over who's God is better
  • In judgement.
  • In a way we can't imagine right now...
  • Christians will be raptured out, leaving unbelievers. They will then have 7 years to change their minds, the first 31/2 being very peaceful the 2nd 31/2...you don't want to be here. He (God) comes as a thief in the night. He (God) gave you life. Live for him. It's that easy. Then you don't have to worry about it! He loves you!!
  • after 10 people answer this question
  • I still subscribe to the theory that the earth will implode on itself...:)
  • this is tooo much to think about
  • It already did...we're just going through the motions at this point.
  • If an asteroid or comet doesn't obliterate the earth, it's for sure that the dying sun will liquify it. Even should man have sufficient foresight to move into space, at some point in the distant future every living thing in the universe will perish in the final heat death of the universe. All stars will burn out, and even black holes will eventually 'evaporate,' leaving nothing but infinite darkness. Depressing, isn't it? : )
  • Since you're asking on a science board, the answer has to be, the sun will expand into a red giant and turn the world into a cinder. Of course, there's no guarantee that mankind will be around to see it...
  • I doubt it ever will, unless the sun goes all supernova and destroys the planet. By the time the sun does run out, we probably will be harnessing enough energy from elsewhere in the universe to sustain anyone who wants to keep living on a boring planet like earth, even without a sun.
  • The Vorgons will destroy the planet to make way for a new interstellar flyway junction.
  • yes i know it will come to an end. it has already started
