  • It takes long enough for you to be able to get in the car and get to the hospital in loads of time.
  • It's different for everyone. It took me thirty hours. ^_^ Just keep in close touch with your doctor or midwife, and eat a high-protein meal. You don't know when your next one's coming, and you'll need the energy. Don't eat anything you don't want to see again, though... transition can churn your stomach pretty bad (that's my piece of "no one told me THAT!" advice).
