without paying, no webstie will be completely accurate. it's hard for a program to not mess up a translation, much of translating depends on context. However i find FreeTranslation.com is quite good, and gets pretty close

I prefer wordreference.com above all. The best thing about it is that it gives you links to threads in their forums about the word you looked up. It gives you a chance to hear about other people's opinions on the translations. There is so much more to just the straight translation most times, it's good to hear from a variety of backgrounds.
