I tell my parents often,and since they are both n thier mid eighties they may have only a decade left.Luckily we as a family live very long lives genetically.

Don't think I've ever said it seriously to anyone that I wasn't either related to or romantically involved with. Even with romance, it had to get pretty serious before I said it. Nothing like saying it and having the other person choke because they aren't feeling it. I say it joking around at work sometimes, when joking around with coworkers, but they can tell I am joking.
