That could vary widely as they may have been together for a few months before marrying or many years. I don't think that marriage is a requirement for having children either. Justme has it right on the head when she says "Whenever they feel like they are ready for the responsibility.". +6 to her.

I think its up to the individual. Some like to really enjoy that newness and it wears off alil years later and then they want to go for the parenting thing. Its just a personal thing.

It's no ones business but theirs. I will say that the happiest time in my life was married with no kids. It just doesn't get better in my opinion. Also, there is a real advantage for women to be at least 28 to start the family. For me, 31 is perfect.
