  • I am not sure if this is the easiest way or not but it is how I would try. Dig up the wire about half way around the perimeter. Disconect one end of the wire and attach it to a DC source. Then using a multimeter with some long leads, check for continuity between the beginning and the middle. If you get current flow, the wire is OK. Move the lead to another section of wire and check again. Sooner or later, you will get a no flow signal that indicates you have passed the break. A more direct way would be to rip out the instalation and inspect the wire, repair it and reinstall it.
