I only shake out the towels and sheets...everything else gets thrown in. I never overload so it still doesn't take long whether or not I shake the other stuff.
-
Shake it? Why would I do that?
-
I don't shake anything. I just throw it in the way it is. Are we supposed to shake it first?
-
*raises hand*..I just take it out of the washer and throw it into the dryer :)
-
i just grab it and toss it into the dryer... all bunched up :P
-
i take it all out at once and throw it in
-
Just a big old lump of partially wet stuff for me. I just throw it in. Comes out ok. I do the shaking part when I'm folding or haning out of the dryer.
-
Doesn't the dryer shake it out for you?
-
I do not use a dryer, I just hang them to dry ... but I do shake first ...
-
Shake out my laundry? That seems like an unnecessary step and a waste of energy. Why would I do that? Is there a perk to it?
-
I've never even heard of such a thing.
-
I didn't know I was supposed to.
-
not me..i just throw everything in...i don't think there is a difference

O M G... I have not been shaking my laundry, Is there a California Penal Code for that and O M G- How much is the Fine??? Geeze I am going to have to YEARS of comunity Service...
-
Lol. It always comes out of the washer in a crumpled tight ball, so I always just take each piece out and throw them into the dryer until it goes THUD! I throw in a sheet of fabric softener, close the door and press the button. I am too lazy to uncrumple each piece of laundry, unless it's a fine shirt (but usually I handwash fine clothes and hang dry them in the yard, to the chagrin of the snotty neighbours! Lol.)

No...I do NOT shake it first. That is the dryer's job. I also don't blow on it first to get it started drying. And to my mother's horror, I don't even separate lights from darks...lol I'm still waiting for the washer/dryer combo that'll wash then dry (and if it could fold and put away that'd be great). They invented a stove that can refrigerate your food in the oven until the time you've set it to start cooking so why not a washer/dryer combo?
-
If they are big items that twist together like sheets and towels I might. But usually I just put them in and away they tumble.
-
Some things I do and some I dont... Shirts, towles and things like them... Yes. Washcloths and socks... no!
-
Not I, I fold before I put in the washer and again before I put in the dryer.
-
I do, if I feel ok, if i don't I throw it all in, in a ball, with a fabric softener of course, that helps them out, haha:)
-
why bother shaking? thats why they call it tumble dry... in lieu of shaking, i do other drying rituals. i like to zip up zippers (so they dont snag on stuff). i also like to make sure nothing is wadded up inside fitted sheets before they go in the dryer - they wont get dry. i also enjoy tearing off pillow labels that say do not remove under penalty of law.

I don't. What's the point?
