  • My previous employer fired me. The truth of the matter is the owner of the company was a hot-head and had decided that heads needed to roll for something that happened. I ended up taking the fall, along with several others. When I interviewed at my current job and the inevitable question came up about how things ended at my previous job, I said just that. My current boss accepted that. When it comes to references, I was able to put down my former boss as a reference, as he knew what I was all about. I just couldn't put HR or the owner of the company down, as I knew they would throw me under the bus.
