Yeah, it takes my breath away. "Life is not how many times you have left to breath but how many times you are left breathless."
-
Many times yo...
-
Yes. I wish I could get there more often.
-
I have done it many times. Ands I feel that way almost each day as I walk outside or look out the window, watch the wildlife out my window, the birds, the deer, the beavers working so hard on their dam. They all make me appreciate being alive and keep boredom and staleness away:-)

Yes, and it is great.
-
Yes I have & I love it. You lose all the noise of civilization & can hear the sounds of nature clear & crisp. So very peaceful...
-
Yes, and people tend to forget about it
-
Yes. And I've go to the opposite extreme, also. I've stood topside on one of the submarines I've served on several hundred feet down and marveled at what I had done, with a couple hundred pounds of sea pressure all around me. <EDIT> I can hardly wait for people to DR me because they think that it is impossible for me to have stood topside on a submarine several hundred feet down!

Not a mountain, no. I do spend much time on my house roof spending the time doing nothing. Close, I guess.
-
Yes, specifically Mt. Whitney:
-
Yep, on the mountain by Shepherd of the Hills in Missouri.
-
Yes, and I want to see and feel that again.

The most memorable like event for me was during my 1st time across the country to live from N.Y. to San Francisco taking I70/Rt50 in my Audi in 1978. High adventure! I had a profound experience along the way high onna hill in a central Utah picnic/scenic area. Gorgeous red/blue mountains/mesas as far as you could see, with a dark "ribbon of black...stretched to the point of no turnin' back" (Pink Floyd) snakin' thru it all 180 degrees! Behind me was the past 23 years and a woman with whom I was in love; ahead of me, my entire future at the very end of the highway and a woman with whom I was in love! Thanks for the memories! ;-)

No, I may be in decent shape, but with a bad ankle, I'd never manage to climb up there...
-
A few times, I've made it to the top only once though, it was an amazing feeling, completely out of breath and looking out, it was gorgeous.
-
Yes...Between Spain and Portugal. I'll never forget it.
