  • Winter because: I don't get on too well with excessively hot weather My birthday is in winter. I like wearing make up, which doesn't work as well in summer. I like fake fur coats and boots. Snow rocks!
  • Summer all the way. I like being able to go out in just shorts and t-shirt, without having to dress in layers of clothes like in winter. There are more things to do in the summer, such as going to the beach, amusement parks, barbecuing, swimming, etc.. No need to worry about taking your life in your hands driving in ice and snow. I cannot take the cold.
  • Ah summer! I'm quite partial to spring as well, and Autum's good, but I hate winter! I love summer because I have six luxurious weeks to do as I please without going to school (and now I'm in year eleven it's just about to get a whole lot longer). The weather is gorgeous, you can wear short shorts and people don't think you are a prostitute. You have enough time to travel, sun bathe and such. This year I went to Cala Galdana (first holiday in 4 years, and the best one ever) Only summer could bring me as much joy as I got there.
  • My favorite season is summer. I love watching the sun rise over the ocean. I love going to the beach on a hot day, the smell of salt water and suntan lotion. The sound of seagulls, surf and bell buoys off in the distance, the sun glinting off the water. I love the rebirth of growing things, leaves on the trees, green grass. Butterflies, bees and dragonflies litter the air, birds singing and hot-weather bugs clicking and buzzing at each other on a warm evening. I love a tall cold drink on a hot day, ice crackling as you pour the drink, little droplets that run down the side of the glass. I love the smell of rain hitting the hot asphalt during a summer shower, the sound of thunder, the flash of lightning, the feel of warm water running down the back of my neck when I get caught in a sudden downpour. I love the smell of newly mown lawn, the sound of a lawn mower off in the distance. I love the vines climbing the pool fence, the honeysuckle perfuming the entire yard. I love the color of the pool when the sun shines. I love watching the Koi doing their quiet ballet in the pond, mouthing at the surface in hope of food every time someone walks by. I love how big the Lotus leaves are, the color of the Lotus flowers, the scent wafting gently as you walk by. I love the sun being up late, being able to go out to play with the kids after dinner. I love the graceful dance of the Zachary Tree as the wind moves across the yard. I love the bright colors of the flowers. The scents...oh the scents! I love the apples and pears ripening on the trees, the way the leaves on the grapevines shade and cool me when I sit under the arbor, the smell of ripening grapes. I love that I have to chase the birds away from the grapes if I want any. I love the chirping of the newborn birds in the birdhouses, the mother and father bird flitting back and forth with bugs and worms. I love riding my bicycle along our tree-lined street...feeling warm and cool in the dappled shade. I love walking in the woods with the kids, turning over rocks and logs looking for salamanders. I love the earthy smell of the dirt and leaf litter in the woods, the way moss makes a green carpet to lie on. I love lying down in the Princess Pines and pretending to be a giant. I love hiking the quiet trails of the Blue Hills, finding places that haven't seen a person since the Wampanoags lived there. I love climbing the rocks on the face of Big Blue, looking out over the highway from so high, that you can't even hear the cars as they go by. I love sitting on the steps in the pool with the water up to my neck. I love the taste of a banana colada. I love the look of my wife with the sandal tan on her feet, and strands of her hair bleached out to light blonde from the sun. I love not having to put on a coat when I go out. I love the quiet hum of a fan on a hot evening, sitting on the porch with a good book and a frozen daiquiri. I love being able to just sit around on a lazy day and not have anywhere to go. I love watching the sun set over the ocean.

  • My fave season has always been summer because I get cold really easy and summer is just so beautiful. Plus my b-day is in the summer so I favor that time of year- although I also have to say that where I live it gets very beautful around fall too. And spring is very pretty as well. Winter is way to long though.
  • I'd have to go with summer. I love it because, if you go to school, you know why. I have to say though: I sure don't like the heat. I can barely sleep sometimes if my window is closed and it is like an oven in there! The freedom you get when you are not at school is nothing less than wonderful but then I get lazy and don't do much- but, it is still my favorite time of the year.
  • Autumn. The weather is invariably nice, but without the sweat.
  • Autumn is my favorite. I love the spicy scent of it - leaves and pine needle cushions in the woods. I love the World Series and the Thanksgiving holiday. I love looking along the Rio Grande at the golden cottonwood trees against the sky. I love the crisp days and cool nights. I love what autumn represents - the harvest, the attainment of the hard work of planting and cultivating, reaping the benefits. I smell chile roasting at the open markets and get an instant craving for the hottest enchiladas possible at Padilla's Cantina! I love the mellowness of it; I think of old friends and college basketball games, piles of leaves to jump into and staring at that odd blue color that rises from mesquite logs in the fire.

  • Dislike all of them. Summer is 24/7 job, all others full of school -_-
  • I love fall. Aside from the beauty of fall's changing leaves, the brisk air is invigorating without sharing winter's bitter cold. It's just right for cuddling, whether at a football game or at home under the covers--with the window open! It's cool enough for a sweatshirt, but a coat is not yet necessary. Nothing like a sunshiny fall day at the cider mill...perfect.
  • Fall and winter!
  • Summer. Spring comes in a close second, but allergies, rain and school make summer the winner!
  • Summer I love the heat and the warm sea.
  • I like Autumn. Spring is the mother of allergies bringing teary eye, pollen, sneezes. Summer is too hot for me, and winter is just plain snowy cold. Autumn is right in the middle, neither cold or hot, plus you only wear light clothing.
  • No. I only have a favorite temperature and weather factor that falls into all of them. That would be a nice 69-72° day, with a slight breeze (like those at the beach) [That only falls into winter because I live in an area that generates unexpected and seemingly impossible weather conditions. Otherwise, it ends up being like that fairly often, regardless of season] ...I know this has to be the weirdest and overly specific answer...
  • Well, a year ago I always thought that winter was so great since in winter you get snow, rain, ice, wind, slush, etc. and in summer it is only heat, heat and more heat, but now I just love the beautiful sun so maybe early summer/late spring.
