I think you do actually. I know myself, I can rarely tell a person's accent when they're singing.

If you sing the words "properly" then you lose you accent. Unless you put an accent on. IE Country & Western singing.

Yeees... I go from Home Counties to Cornish to Irish to Yorkshire all in one verse - very attractive - I don't think!! I lose my pride, never mind my accent! LOL

i have no idea because i cant hear my accent i know i have one but i just cant hear it, besides i sing soo bad that the last thing someone notice is the accent hahaha.

I'm not aware that I have one... if I do, I don't know if it hangs in when I sing! :)

Yes. I turn American. Because singing with an Australian accent....just sounds terrible. lol

Tom Jones did. Engelbert Humperdink did. Mick Jagger did. Mel Tillis even loses his stutter when singing!

Many years ago I had a girlfriend in Quebec. Her friends and her had heavy french accents (very exotic. Grrr.). When an american song came on they would sing in english and it's amazing that they would sing together with no accent. It still amazes me today.

Yes it goes all american but I try not to make it go like that anymore since someone pointed it out to me.
