Bypass the software. If you plug your camera into your computer, windows will see it as a removable drive. Open up Windows Explorer, find the camera (it will be identified as a drive) and then click and drag the files to a subdirectory on your computer. Now you can open the files in whatever program you wish to use. I prefer Paint Shop Pro, but Photoshop work well too. BTW, if you go to http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/ you can get a free download of photoshop. They're older versions but they still work and they're free!

Or you could download new software, yours may have been corrupted. Be sure to delete the old program first. http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn026079.jhtml?pq-path=4509

No Randy it is not that easy. I am having the same problems. Because Kodak wants you to use their not user friendly software and purchase things from their online posting site, you are unable to upload using Windows, My Computer or Picasa. The computer does not recognize the camera when you insert the USB port. Only Kodak easyshare is recognizing it. Even when I tried uninstalling the easyshare software my computer still would not recognize the camera. I have tried everything. I tried a custom installation only installing the connection software and that did not work either. I am banning KODAK from now on - I will NEVER buy another Kodak product again - I would return this camera if I did not already throw out the box, etc.!!!

Uninstall the Kodak software and use other software. i found their program to be cumbersome and bloated.
