• they store it at a lower temp and i think the ingrediants are slightly diffrent. the first soft ice cream supposubly is from when a ice cream salesmen car broke down and the freezer couldent start so he sold his slightly melted ice cream and labled it soft ice cream. my favoroite is mint/creme de menthe and german chocolote, now i want to ride to the ice cream store ):
  • Not necessarily a lower temp, but they just don't freeze it as long.
  • if you mean soft serve ice cream, its soft because it was freshly churned, and very quickly. Popular ice cream parlors will churn your favorite ingredients into hard settled ice cream into soft.
