you have to be certified to use freon don't you. I would take it to a shop that can charge your air conditioner and have them do it for you.

Freon is an outdated reference to DuPont r-12 refrigerant. Your Blazer uses r-134a which is something you can do yourself using a kit purchased at most auto supply stores. However, an a/c system is a closed system and should not need recharging unless you have a leak. You may want to have it checked, to avoid wasting money (and releasing chemicals into the air) if there is a leak.
