  • I suspect never. While it's true that what he did is no worse than cheating by using steroids, unlike the use of steroids, it was blatantly against the rules when he did it, and he knew that. Thus, it has disqualified him from ever being inducted. It would take a complete overhaul of the induction rules to get him in.
  • He will never make it. Gambling has always had a terrible stigma in baseball. He also blatantly lied about it. Also, the guys who vote for the HOF are as conservative as they come.
  • Pete rose should be inducted. So he lied,“Great men are not always wise”.
  • Maybe not until after supposed steroid abusing players like Clemens and Bonds are inducted. If he admitted he bet on baseball 20 years ago, he might have be inducted by now.
