Try dried figs. Most dried fruits work well, though. Prunes and figs work best.

Lazerus mentioned Pineapple. It has the added wonderful effect of cleansing your system. Prunes are okay... high in fiber, but I find them to candy-like to eat a good amount of them. Senna is a natural herb that is used to make many pharmaceutical laxatives.

Prunes and pineapple works very well. Pineapple is a bit better because it is good for the digestion as a whole, not just a laxative effect. And drink lots of water, too:-)

The best natural fruit lax is made from a variety of dried fruits and senna tea. I was a little leery of the senna tea because it can cause cramping. However, I got the recipe from my brother in law, who is a physician, and he got it from a patient. He gave me a jar to try and it worked wonders. The recipe can be found at The Spine which is my blog. The exact page is here: http://fitnessfusion.wordpress.com/2007/12/30/tips-tricks-fruit-lax/ Best of luck. Darlene
