A physical act of affection that means something that can't be said. A hug isn't always a good thing. A person can give a hug out of kindness and love, or a person can do it with ill intent. But a hug is something easy to read and it always drives a point (even if the point is small).

Hugs are a wonderful way of showing someone they matter, we should all in an ideal world get hugs every day, I personally love hugs, sadly my sons are at the age that Mum is un-huggable - they will get over it! I do got lots of hugs and love from my cats and dogs, but its not the same. Hugs are more important than anything I think.

Quick or loose hugs are friendship kind of hugs. Its the longer, closer hugs that show love. =) Unfortunately I don't get those long ones much.

I loved to be hugged by women but not by men.

I do hugs from women (sometimes) and children (whenever they want them). I don't do hugs from guys. I'm old-school where a handshake was the proper way for two guys to meet. This "hugs" shit for guys comes from the school of gender confusion and I don't do that.
