What "people" food do your cats enjoy that you never would have figured cats to like?

Popcorn. She hears it in the microwave and comes running. First she plays with it, then she slooooooowly eats it. it's hysterical.

there's a lot of "people" food that a lot of my cats have liked over the years. but the strangest would be potatoes. a couple have liked fries...one especially love McDonald's fries and would beg for them. But, he also like baked potato and snuck up and grabbed potato skin off of my s/o's plate one time and ran off with it like he had a big prize. My first cat loved bananas...and she must have been able to smell them from anywhere in the house, because she'd come and find you. She would even lick the inside of the banana peel.

One of my previous cats loved cantaloupe. He also ate tomatoes right out of the can. He would dip in his paw, snag a tomato and eat it. It was a scream.

One of my cats loves sweetcorn. He once went out and randomly brought back corn on the cob and ate it all. Another time we had some pasta on the side which also had sweetcorn in it and he snuck up on the kitchen side and ate it. He left some of the pasta though. :)

i had a cat that loved raw potato skins. if we were peeling potatos he sat right there under your feet waiting for you to drop one. lol

one of my cats won't touch human food except for sweet potatoe pie. However i have tried chicken fish and steak and she wants nothing to do with it. my kitten however likes to share my guineas roman lettuce and if i cut them up a cucumber she has to have a slice as well. As soon as she hears me open their cages she is there for her share as well. If it is green she will eat it. I think she has it in her head that she is a guinea pig herself

I have five cats and all of them like different things. One of them, Vicous, will not eat anything we do. Pipsqeak loves ice cream and whipped cream. Mama Kitty will only eat chicken. Trixie loves cheese. And Lil' Bit will eat ANYTHING, but you better watch your fingers.

I don't have a cat, but when I was growing up, we had a dog who loved raw carrots.

Dried plums (prunes), I flipped out, but I was eating them and my cat acted like she wanted it. I thought that if she smelled it more closely she would change her mind, but she actually sat there licking it for a long time.

mine likes cheese, dill pickle dip, olives,kfc chicken and some other things but she gets very little of it.

One of our cats has a thing for very ripe tropical fruit. The second I slice open a mango or papaya, she runs in the kitchen and starts howling. We also had a cat who had a thing for creamed corn. I opened a can and this cat ate an entire can when I looked away for a minute. All of our kids love cheese!

Once I had a few bites of a ham and cheese sandwich left so I gave it to the cat. He only ate the lettuce and left the rest in his dish.

Doritos & dog food! I use to have a cat loved the really cheesie corners Doritos and a kitten I have use to eat the dogs food all the time, the hard kind. I was suprised when she started to meow and not bark! lol

My Cat adores lasagna. She first tasted it when she was 5 months old, I forgot to remove my plate and there was a bit of lasagna, she licked it, and then I noticed, and it was soon in her dish. And it soon disappeared, she had a piece of tomato on her whiskers, I laughed. whenever we have lasagna she just wants to eat it.

Cats love avocados. I didn't know that...my wife told me she has seen cats enjoying avocados like crazy.

My cat, Oliver, loves fishing things out of the sink. His favorite is lettuce. He grabs it and runs away with his prize and usually trails pieces all over the house as he eats it. He steals carrots too. I think he's part ferret. :)

If i get veges out of the fridge for dinner and leave them on the bench my cat will knock the carrots down and chew on them til he's eaten them all.

Ben & Jerry's "Imagine Whirled Peace" ice cream. I gave it to my cats, Lael, Leylan, Loch, and Lanouk- they loved it! But then again, they all came from Liliana, the eldest cat- their mother- her and Charlie- their father, LOVED it. Now i'll get into the freezer and hear little feet on the linoleum. Its funny and really cute!

Oh my gosh, olives. My old cat used to go crazy for them, then rub her nose in the brine, just like catnip! She loved peas too, but I think she just mostly liked the thrill of killing and devouring them when I rolled them on the floor for her!

Day old french fries. Sometimes my brother comes home late at night and leaves his junk food out and the cat is sure to be found eating those fries the next morning.

Back many years ago when I was 10 years old we had a cat who loved Licorice Allsorts. If she smelled them being eaten she would be right there almost doing back flips to get a bit of one. Needless to say she didn't get too much of them. I doubt they would have been good for cats.

Snarky, our male cat is a canned cat food eater, except for cream which doesn't count. Then we have Skittle, our female cat is another story. She loves yogurt, strawberry jam, Cheese Whiz, but especially Parmesan cheese. The real story is that Skittle has a pet dwarf hamster named Whiskas. Skittle likes to eat some of her pet's food. That is to say, she eats sunflower seeds, peanuts and raisins with her pet.

Guacamole! She sticks her head in the bowl and tries to lick it off the edges...sometimes even tries to get a bite of my chip! she also has to "try" most anything I am eating, she will jump on my desk if I am noshing while working, and try to get a taste of whatever I have!

LIKE ANYONE ELSE, THE SAME THING EVERY WEEK GETS TO ANYONE, BUT I THINK AHEAD AND FIGURE 6 HALF CATS/ LYNX WILL GET TIRED OF THE OLD, SO I ADD TUNA FISH WITH MAYONAISE. THAT THEY REALLY ENJOY IT, WOULD'NT YOU. REMEMBER CATS ARE PART OF THE FAMILY TOO.

My cat likes salty snacks. Popcorn is a big one. He will eat almost any kind of chips. Both of them love tuna juice. They come running as soon as I open the can. It takes no longer then a minute to have them around my legs and meowing like crazy!

When I'm bonding with a cat for the first time - I get the BUTTER! Fattening, but always works a treat. As for my own cat? Quavers. Cheesy, smelly quavers. I must say, he has good taste! XD

Baked beans. Every time I open a tin my cats come running because they think it's beans LOL. Also, one of my cats likes hummus which I think is REALLY weird. Although I don't give it to her because I don't know if it's ok for them to eat or not (the first time she ate it was an accident, I left it on the table).
