Absolutely! Coffee always tastes better in a ceramic mug.
-
I prefer coffee in my favorite ceramic mug. To me it's just better that way.
-
My mug from mexico is my favorite, I warm up the ceramic with hot water then add my coffee and it stays hot for a while. Something about hot coffee against that smooth glazed ceramic edge.
-
Has to be a mug and yes it effects the tast!!!
-
Yep, styrofoam or paper tastes barfy. I can drink cola out of a paper cup, though, but out of a can tastes metallic to me.
-
styrofom and paper are horrible for the enviornment, so i prefer glass or ceramic.
-
Glass or ceramic mug for me, more often than not it's a stainless steel travel mug I use, but I don't like paper or styrofoam.
-
a ceramic mug for me. It just makes it better.
-
I like it any way I get it, just hot.
-
Large ceramic mug Yes it tastes much better than styrofoam and its hotter.
-
Ceramic mug...I also only use a ceramic spoon when I consume soup because I don't like the taste of the metal. Using styrofoam or paper is absolutely awful..the "papery/plasticky" flavor gets into the coffee and makes it terrible...by the way, I am not a fan of Starbucks. :)

You can call me weird but I really like a styrofoam cup because it's the only container that doesn't feel hot against your lip. (Insulated plastic seems to pick up the taste from old coffee and I hate it.) Paper is also okay, but I rinse out and re-use my styro cups until the finish starts to wear off, at which point they are close to leaking, and have never noticed an off flavor or odor.

I need a mug, and not just any mug, it always tastes best in my favorite mug.
-
I will drink coffee anytime, anyplace, in most anything. The taste of the coffee is more about the coffee maker or coffee then the cup.
-
I have my favorite cup. Somehow coffee or tea just tastes better in your favorite cup and I think it definitely tastes better in a clean glass or ceramic cup or mug.
-
Coffe in a glass is unbeatable in my experience.

Ceramic for me. Aside from the ingredients, taste is regulated a lot by temperature (since more heat releases more smell-molecules, but also breaks down others). A ceramic cup is a much higher thermal mass. After adding Boiling water to it will only reach a steady max temp of, say 200F/93C, for a foam cup, the temp will be closer to 212F. Then you have to consider adding milk before or after. Added after, the milk in a ceramic cup sees a peak of ,say, 200F. The molecular changes in milk around boiling point are quite distinct. Ok. I'll shutup now cause Im starting to sound wierd.

In a ceramic mug, much better than styrofoam cups: easier to hold and carry a hot drink that has a handle, and a better taste.
-
Styrofoam is the worst. Ceramic is mediocre. Paper with a plastic Solo lid is tops. I don't know what it is about styrofoam, but I always feel less satisfied with my coffee. It is almost like an aftertaste is present...I'm just not sure, but definitely I feel something is off. Right now I am drinking my favorite coffee from styrofoam, and I feel like my nose is stuffy, like having a slight allergy. I once went to a new coffee house to give a good try, and when they gave me my coffee in a styrofoam cup, I crossed them off my mental list of places to get coffee. (What were they thinking!!)

I prefer it in mug. No taste difference, just feels nicer.
