Yes, I have. I still have the scar on my shin to show for it, too.
-
Yes, but mostly when I used to drink too much!
-
yes its takes all kinds! hahahahahahaha and it hurt too!!!
-
I tripped going up some concrete rock stairs, in doing so, I cut a gash in my shin that needed 6 stitches, how stupid.
-
Yes, and only when other people are present.
-
Yes High!- I do so at times coming up our wooden basement stairs with the laundry....ouch!!!
-
Heck yeah! Especially if I've had one too many.
-
Yes when going up stairs on a double decker bus and ended with a lump on my shin and it made my eyes water
-
Yes. And I hit my chin, quite nicely. But worse was when I slipped and fell all the way down on my back like I was sliding down the wood steps. Although I instinctively picked up my head so it wouldnt "bounce off each step" like in a cartoon, I still hit it! And to make the whole thing worse, it happened twice on the same stairs. I was wearing crappy slippery slippers. Yes, they are at the dump somewhere now.
-
YES, & it hurt so much
-
Yes i have, but don't tell anyone i don't want to look like a fool by falling up stairs. Can you keep it a secret Highlander.
-
I have tripped many times (all during the night) attempting to run up them while either in pursuit, or double-timing it. Wearing a 25lb. gun belt around your waist doesn't make that a pleasant experience!
-
I seem to do that MORE often than falling down! I think because going down I am actually paying attention and holding the rail. Going up - I am usually running, not paying attention, I miss the depth of the next stair, etc. I especially do it on hardwood stairs, I think my back foot slips out before my front foot has made positive traction. Soooo glad there are so many others here with the same issue - I am a major Klutz, but it is nice to know this is not uncommon!
-
thousands of times lol
-
Haha, yes I have. I do that more than falling down the stairs!
-
Yup sure have..
-
only when I'm sober !!
-
Oh yes. It's painful and embarassing.
-
Yes i have many times but its worse when i'm going down i have a bad scar thanks to that lol
-
Yes but I technically tripped before I got to the 1st step and fell on the stairs.
-
Yes.. many times but one time when I was about 9 or 10 years old... I was carrying this huge glass jar full of my sisters bouncy balls... because she collected them... and I was running up the stairs... I tripped and fell dropped the jar, and the hundreds of bouncy balls went bouncing down the stairs into the highway... yeah... I got in so much trouble...lol.. but it was cool seeing all of those bouncy balls flying everywhere... lol
-
sure have.
-
No I don't recall ever fallen up stairs, but about a hour ago I fell down them. Someone left their toys in the path. An I found them the hard way, all the way down to the floor.....Och!!!!............M.C.S.
-
Yup.... I do like your questions HL! Not so much fallen, but tripped really, when your toes don't quite get onto the next step and they slip off when you put your weight on them... I've done this plenty of times but about 4 years ago landed funny and broke a bone in my wrist... that's what you get for running up the stairs with socks on! x
-
Yep, and I am sure it will happen again and again LOL
-
oh yes i have done so, many many times before. i cant walk very well lolol.
-
Yeah it hurt.
-
Yes. I am a very clumsy person
-
When I was a kid I tumbled down the stairs and as an adult I've had some near misses and a few minor stumbles.
-
Down and up.
-
Yes and more than once. I hope I've fallen for the last time!
-
Yes, more times than i can remember
-
Yep, I slipped - but fortunately I didn't do too much damage. :-)
-
yep, several times. But only one time resulted in any real damage.
-
Even worse, I've fallen up the stairs. I was pretty pissed (in a British sense) at the time.
-
Many, many times. i've also fallen up the stairs...that was embarrassing.
-
Yes. I once feel down stairs nude in the middle of the night after a bit too much tequila. I sleep nude and at 4 AM I felt I could go to the bathroom without getting dressed because everyone in the house was asleep. I opened what I thought was the bathroom door -- it was actually the door to the cellar stairs. I bounced down the entire flight of stairs on my ass. The stairs had metal tread edges and they sliced by behind at least 6 times. I was in college at the time and I had to go to class with a pillow until the cuts healed. I haven't touched a drop of tequila since then, forty years ago.

Going to the Bursar's office to get something squared away a few years back, I swear I thought the step was closer...but, my foot did this weird slip. It was tragic. I went down on my knees...my back pack flipped over, so I was in this weird bowing, bending, prayer position. To add on...I ripped my pants, the knees areas only. It hurt like heck, but I was so embarrassed...I already had my head moving to see if there were any witnesses! Luckily, it was a Friday, and there weren't too many people on campus. Geez, if I can remember it happened on a Friday after a few years...it must have been bad! I currently, sweat when I have to go upstairs. Such foul memories...
-
frequently!! Embarassingly frequent!
-
Yes, every night when i come home...i can't turn the light on in my hallway because then i wake up everyone with their door open to their bedrooms....
-
Yes........I have stumbled......Then I blame the step as I'm checking the guilty step out.
-
Yes, my parents home had slippery wooden steps.
-
Yes and it's usually if I am carrying something and that goes flying also.
-
That comes from an old snap. Yo Mama's so dumb, she fell up the stairs.
-
all the time
-
Yes, and I've actually been hurt more falling up them than down them.
-
Yes, thats the most common way I fall on the stairs is when I'm going up!
-
yes. I'm ridiculously clumsy and absent-minded sometimes, which leads to tripping upward.
-
Oh yes. I've always had the bad habit of running up the stairs. And no matter how much i fall going UP the stairs, i still can't seem to shake that habit...
-
Ive seen someone else fall up the stairs, He hit his chin right on the pointed part. Ouch.
-
Yes. But it was usually not so bad as having fallen going down. In that last case, I broke one of my fingers once.
-
yup. I'm a clumsy person
-
Yes I have many times I fall up more than I do down
-
yes I have, and it flipping hurt cos I hit my chin as well as my shin and I caused a din (and more noises from Dr Seuss!) People kept telling me it wasn't possible! well thanks you guys, for proving me right!!
-
yes, carrying coffee and toast.
-
Yes I tripped on the first stair going up and then I tripped on the bottoms of my pants.
-
yes!! i usually just trip.. but when you actually fall and land on your hands it can be embarrassing!
-
all the time. is this an unusual thing?
-
I have. Many times. It's so frustrating when that happens.
-
Yup. Smashed my knee on the edge of the stair, couldn't move, and no one was home. Just had to sit there for ages and wait out the pain.
-
Yes, way more often than going down.
-
lol...lol oh yeah more times than bloody going down them ....lol... got bits of bark missing from all over the old body
-
unfortunately yes
-
more times than falling down them. going up you are all cocky and not paying that much attention....
-

-
Thats pretty funny you say that, I have since high school and Im still doing it at 23!!! LOL
-
yes, i was trick or treating with my daughter, i crack my ankle, i fell up then down.
-
Hasn't everybody? I have many times when I was small and the stairs were big. Sometimes twice,he, he.
-
Haha, of course I have! ( =
-
Yep, tons of times. But if you saw me on a daily basis, you would consider my clutzyness normal.
-
Almost daily. I drink.
-
Yes, I have. And, I'm still bothered by a little loose chip of cartilage in one knee to this day. (My fall was 26 years ago!)
-
I fell on the ''up'' escalator, does that count? :)
-
ohh yes lol it hurts almost as much as falling down
-
yeah. about two times last month alone
-
At least a few times. Owww....*Groans at the thought.*
-
Oh yes...I'm the first to admit what a big klutz I am! I've done that more times than I can count!
-
yeah . . . too many times to admit. im a clutz.
-
who me? Never. ok yes. And i remember this one time it was in front of a LOT of people. i think i must have been drunk, or at least I hope i was.
-
Yup of course, it happens a lot. I have quite large feet and a lot of times i will just trip. It happened most recently when playing with my 5 year old nephew, running in his house, and i fell up the stairs. It was funny, made him laugh, and i will do it again.
-
Oh honey..many times. I am the most accident prone, falling prone, skinned prone person I have ever known.
-
nnnnnn i can't tell a lie yes
-
almost every day
-
You mean they go down as well ??
-
yes to many to count...one time i fell up hill and broke my arm... go on you can laugh i still dont know how i end up doing that! :)
-
July 1993, Wembley Stadium, Guns 'n Roses, with 2 huge beers in my hands, Not cool!
-
Oh HELL yes! So many times I've had a number of breaks in each of my big toes from my younger days of being in too much of a hurry. So NOW I have horrible arthritis in both feet from my clumsy youth.
-
Yes, i tripped on the last step and went face first into the carpet.
-
Yep... Used to be my toes catching on the lip of the higher step. Now (no toes on my right foot, and shoe a bit longer so it doesn't look QUITE so out of place with the other), if I'm not careful, I'll not place enough of my foot on the step, and the non-supported part of my foot will bend enough, dropping it to the lower step. Sometimes it's not fun. Can't say I broke anything but my exuberance, though! LOL
-
A couple times I have.
-
I almost did, but I managed to hold on something.
-
Yes I have. It hurts and is quite embarrassing. I don't know how I managed that one.
-
Yes, once in a great while there will be the phantom extra "step" at the very top of the staircase. When you go to step on it you expect a higher level, and then there isn't...And you almost fall!
-
Yes. As a young child, before I started martial arts, I was very clumsy and often fell and injured myself ... one of the reasons I started martial arts was to develop some coordination.
-
Yes. It was so funny too. When I was pregnant my mom thew me a baby shower. I have always taken the stairs at her house two at a time, so while going up to the bathroom by thigh hit my big preggo belly, and up I went! lol That isn't the only time, but it was one of the best.
-
TONS of times, that's why im glad i dont have stairs in the house im in now.lol it was practically every other day fall up the stairs or down the stairs you'd think i'd learn?
-
Yes. I have and I have a dent in my shin and many scars on my legs to prove it. One time, I even managed to jam a finger doing that.
-
lol... yes! Quite a few times actually... the worst was falling up the brick stairs at my grandparents' house... ouch!
-
no,never.......
-
I haven't fallen down the stairs but i've fallen up them. don't ask how because i bumped my head and i can't remember anything before that.
