Some do, it was their first song on the Billboard charts I think. Regardless, I personally don't like the song. Not because I'm offended by the pretentious, pseudo-intellectual message, but because I think they sound like absolute garbage no matter what they sing. Plus, I think Bad Religion implemented the same "message" years earlier much better with the song, American Jesus. And they were less whiny about it.

I think they like it, but I don't think they fully understand the symbolism behind the school, which is quite ironic. Just like the song 'Holiday' by Green Day, does anyone actually think they are talking about going on Holiday?
