  • I think my cat Sassy is really a dog. She always comes running whenever we are in the kitchen, like she expects a treat. She also greets us at the door and loves to run out whenever we get the mail and the newspaper. Now if she would just retreive them then I wouldn't have to go out at all.
  • When I get up in the morning... both of my cats get up with my dog and run downstairs with me... when I come home from work they are both standing by the door... sometimes my handsome black panther kitty attacks my legs as I walk around...
  • She doesn't "run" to greet me, she nonchalantly walks over, pretends like she doesn't even see me, then looks at me as if to say "oh, you're here?"
  • Mine totaly does! I pick her up, say hi, scratch her ears and gently put her down. She'll follow me around for the first 10 mins, then settle somwhere and return to her nap. Its the only cat ive evern know like that.
  • Both of mine run to the door and follow me. They also don't go very far away from me or my husband. They both sleep with us. I think that they think they're human children, not kitties.
  • When my female cat hears my car, she comes to the window. She'll watch me come up the walk until I'm out of view and then she'll go wait with my male cat by the door until I get the mail and come in. She greets me with her tail up and he usually throws himself against my shins. If she really missed me, she'll flop over and insist on a belly rub before I get to anything else.
  • Both of my cats run OUT the door when I open it. Luckily I live in an apartment building. They like to roll around in the hall, but I'm not sure why.
  • yes she does and then she will rub herself agaisnt me until i give her her treats.
  • Yes my cat thinks he's a dog too. He runs to the door each day, plays fetch with his toys (brings them back for me to throw again) so now I've leash trained him so we can walk outside and he will be safe. He walks right next to me and then it's treat time. Amazing cat...dog whatever.
  • She's dead now, but she was always at the door waiting for me. If she ran to greet me, it was always behind the scenes and I never knew about it... she was always just sitting there when I opened the door. And she didn't throw a party every time I entered (as my dogs do), she just gave me a very dignified nod. She was awesome.
  • One does, the other usually regards us from afar, up on is royal dais, the little emperor. Bored.........and "Where have you been?!?!"
  • Yep, both the cat and dog are there ready and waiting.
  • No but he watches me in the morning and as soon as my eyes open hes asking for his breakfast.

  • Cats are no fools. It knows the moment we realize they can be trained spells the end of their carefree existence ;)
  • You know what's funny. She doesn't run to greet us, but she is always at the door. What makes it really weird is I park no where near our appartment and she can't see us till we come up the walk. Now my horse hears my car comingdown the road and stands at the top of her hill waiting till I park. Once I get out she comes running.

  • i have a cat and 2 kittens, my kittens love to follow me but have never been outside and they dont come to the door. but my cat is amazing. he will sit on out kitchen ledge (like 10cm wide, 2nd storey) and will meow a greeting at me, and reow in responce to any greeting i make. he will then sit at the door and pur like mad when i come home. when i sit down he brings me his favourite toy of the moment (plastic stick with feathers on it) and we play fetch. the kittens love this and join in... but get confused and chase my cats tail instead. its an awesome way to come home.
  • My boys are sitting on the chest freezer by the front door. My girls are sitting up and pretty or rolling around on the floor showing lots of belly. They hear the car pull in so they know it's "suppertime". I am just one big can opener to them.
  • One of them does. As soon as he hears the garage door open he's waiting for me. Then follows me around the house purring and flopping in front of me. Get's a bit dicey on the stairs... for both of us.

  • Yep! All 3 are right there at the door when I open it. They follow me around the house "talking" to me for a good 15 mins, & then go off to do whatever it is they like to do. They make coming home from a long & sometimes bad day, much nicer.
  • Yes, I love it.
  • Yes, one of my cats does this. He all sit at the door with my dog anxiously awaiting my arrival through the door. And he meows at me as if to say, "OH MY GOD YOU'RE HOME!!! YOU'LL NEVER GUESS THE DAY I'VE HAD!!" It's quite adorable.
