Everyone should be treated equally therefore nobody is more important than another. Unfortunately, there are arrogant people who think they are more important than others. In another definition, people have their favourites and favouritism is not nice because it only dismisses people who are not treated with the same importance. To answer your question directly, the answer is no but some people will say yes because they are either arrogant by placing themselves before others thinking they are more important or that they have a favourite person who they think is more important than anyone else hence favoritism.
