  • No one knows. Acute arsenic poising only looks similar to cholera on the outside. Even in the modern day, though, the water treatment in SPB is such that drinking tap water can make a person very sick. There is little evidence it was arsenic poisoning and maybe unconvincing evidence that it was actually cholera. Both guesses could be wrong.
  • We do not know how Tchaikovsky died. & we may never find out!!! I prefer to think it was Cholera as he was waayyy too talented to choose suicide!!!
  • There are a couple of theories on this subject. The official story is that the great Russian composer died of complications from cholera, as this version of events still has its adherents in the present. Although rumor has it he had taken his own life (due to), his tormented life.

      Also, in Russia, even in modern times. Just a few weeks ago, there was a rich Russian man who was a vocal critic of the government who died by being thrown out of a sixth-storey window. The coroner ruled it death due to illness. I'm not joking. But, I am joking when I say that I have the same illness of being deathly allergic to 100 km/hr concrete hitting my head.
