Can anyone think of a reason for the Australian state of NSW to have a trade minister in New York?
What would that minister do?
Can anyone fault Arthur Sinodinos's statement?

Several US states also have state-level "trade ambassadors" to other nations. Apparently these state governments consider it worth the taxpayers' money. (Consider the more greedy alternative for state politicians - to NOT establish such an office, with high pay, and just raise their own salaries instead...)
