  • For us to help, of course! And also to help those that need their advice or encouragement, or humor, or expertise.
  • I believe we are meant to work on ourselves first, as there is no point going out to help others with a "log in your eye." It states to help others "so the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing." Hence, the act is done through you, you are unaware. I don't know anyone who does this as of yet. Most people help others out of self interest, or because they want to look good, or a more refined self interest but get a good feeling from it anyway, or worse of all, out of guilt, they don't want to do it, but they don't want to say no either, and so they do it to not feel bad, which is dishonest, I'm guilty of these, I now try to watch my intention, watching the self can be enlightening but ugly sometimes, you learn a lot. Hence, if everyone reached the state where they died to the flesh self, or the way of the world, or the ego, and were born again of God, in union with God as Christ the "first fruits" was, the acts would be done through them, then this would be a very different world. Mans aim is to raise himself higher than the beast, the worldly self, the ego, sinful self of which he identifies as being the true self, by becoming humble, and acting on Christ's teachings and wisdom, to come to the Father's will and understanding, and not his own. This is the experience Christians mystics have spoken about through the ages, union with God, who have written parables like Jesus to bring about truth and understanding, they understood the mystery hidden before all ages, and left the worldly life behind because "once changed" they didn't fit in anymore and were often called crazy. They knew that words, would never do justice to what they were experiencing, just as the bible appears to have done more harm even though the mystery exists in it, and some spoke in parables like Christ, but others stayed silent. "2 Peter 1:3-4 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust."
  • To help others. "We" includes everyone. "Others" are part of that everyone. Thus, if we are here to help others and others are here to help others, then others are also here to help me since I would be an "other" to someone. Simply speaking, we're here to help each other.
