Well...anything's possible. HOWEVER: as Reagan proved, the senior vote is an EXTREMELY significant and influential part of the vote in U.S. Presidential elections. Any Pres. who does what you describe can expect to lose the next election (if he or she plans to run in the next election, that is). They can expect to lose the next election because they can expect to lose the entirety of the senior vote. *** SO: I think it much more likely that Soc Sec will continue to receive small annual increases, at least enough to cover increased Medicare expenses, so as to secure (as much as possible) the senior voting bloc. (Secure it for all of the incumbents in Washington. Not just the Pres has to face another election. You'll get cross-party support for at least pretending to maintain current levels of SS and Medicare.)

No. The deductibles will just go up. It doesn't bother me, anyway. I have Medicare as a backup, but my main provider is the VA.

It could do, it appears our politicians priorities are moving away from it's own people, so I have no doubt the same is happening in the UK, we're basically sending our own countries into an even greater slump, if Covid hasn't done that enough already, if bankrupting our countries is the way to go, and so putting more pressure on the public services due to lack of funding, then they are doing very well at it. Still I bet the elites made a lot of money in the vaccine companies, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuL6bSb8diQ&t=24s
