Any reason why they don't protest during the off-season? Or why they don't do anything but kneel?

I'm one of the very few Giants fans deep in Browns country. With players protesting and now giving the Black Panther salute during the games, the owners saying they will not punish players who violate the NFL policy, it looks like another season of not watching the NFL or going to the games. Anybody with me?
