I'm assuming there is no cranking whatsoever when you turn the key. In which case it's probably the starter or starter solenoid. Don't rule out the battery either. Sometimes the light comes on, but there just ain't enough juice to kick off the starter.

have someone hold the key in the start position.take a hammer and tap the starter solenoid.if the car starts..replace the solenoid.

You should look in the phone book for a mechanic. It is just a waste of time trying to fix a car when you don't know how.
