  • I hate to say it, but I don't know if any of us have the authority to overrule the advice of a doctor. You could consider consulting a "natural" doctor if that is what you are worried about; otherwise, I don't know how I can help.
  • You need to get a second opinion.
  • You need to go to what people call an "eyeologist". This is basically an herbalist who takes a map of your eye, and by the blood vessels (and various other methods) she tells you what's wrong in your body and what herbs you need. Everyone I know goes and are so much better for it.
  • I can't imagine a doctor advising pain killers for a new mother. You definitely need to get a second opinion. I wonder if you have any help with the baby? It could be an old fashioned not getting enough rest. Try to stay off your feet as much as possible, and make an appointment to see a new doctor.
  • Did you by chance have an epidural? My daughter did. The second time she came out of it a lot better than the first. With her first daughter, she had pain in her back and legs for six months. They told her it was one of the side effects of the epidural. Sometimes it happens. With her second child, during labor, she could not move her right leg...it was paralyzed. She is fine now though. Your doctor does not sound very good, I would seek another opinion. Being a new mother, you can't be zonked on pain meds all day.
