  • Maybe you need to go to control panel, then select printers and "add a new printer". Most printers nowadays are "Plug and Play" so they're automatically detected by the system. Hope this helps.
  • You need to give more information before anyone can diagnose what your problem is but as barca said it's Plug and Play. The easiest thing to do would be go to Control Panel / Printers and remove it and then restart your computer. The OS should find the printer as new hardware on restart and install it.
