  • Don't much care - have seen both. +5
  • currently, IDK! haha and i rather hot babes checkin me out xD literally lol haha doctor...check out... haha xD
  • This is one of those questions for people with health care right?
  • Nope. Doesn't matter to me, CT. Bedside manner does, though....a great deal! So does making me wait an excessive amount of time. Just because they are doctors doesn't mean they can't be fired. There are 100 more just like them I can go to. +5
  • I wouldn't care if it was an Alien if I could only get one. We have a bit of a shortage.
  • For "General" stuff I don't care. For the "female exam" I'd prefer a woman. +5
  • Any gender will do, either male or female. . . for you'll be surely become a part of their topic when they are out with friends to share some box of pizza. .
  • My primary care doctor is male. The doctor that prescribes my crazy pills is a nice hot Filipino woman. Both are pretty cool people and it would not make a difference what their gender is.
  • My family physician is a woman. I prefer a as I feel more comfortable and also better understood as far as female health issue.
  • It doesn't matter to me
  • doesnt matter to me. our practice has multiple doctors, so if we have a preference we just ask.
  • male and i dont mind who tells me to lose weight and stop drinking ..hic!
  • We have both and I usually didnt mind until a Staff grade Psychiatrist (Nick)I used to work with went into general practice.MY general practice. I told him he would only see me if it was an ingrowing toe nail or a sore throat, nothing requiring rubber gloves. I had a Myelogram which involved injecting dye into the base of my spine.I was extremely ill on discharge and the doctor was called. As he was let in, he yelled up the stairs saying OK, what have you been up to now. Yes it was Nick. I was in a complete panic as I couldnt remember what knickers I had put on or if I had any on at all.LOL (It didnt help that he was very dishy.)
  • My doctor is a woman and my wife's doctor is a man.
  • I don't really have a doctor, the medical centre I'm with just gives you whoever is avaliable. I prefer to get someone of the opposite gender because I'd rather have a woman touching my body than a man if I have a choice. I know that they are just doing their job but I feel uncomfortable with a man touching my naked skin, unless it's just my shoulders or arms or something.
  • I've had both. I felt easier talking to the males, but I think the females were a little more thorough for some reason. :) +5
  • I'm male, my general practioner is female, and I see 2 specialists, both female. Part of the reason I selected these particular professionals was becasue the were females. My dentist and orthodonist (sp?) are both male; if I had had my preference, I would have selected competent females for those positions, also.
  • I don't really mind. I'd probably find a female easier to talk to. +5
  • Makes me no difference, I avoid Dr's of any gender. It seems like there aren't many female Dr's.
  • The things I look for is a good bedside manner and Qualifications when i go do an Interview, if a Woman Doc lets her collar open a little it's a Bonus!!! The Wife and I have the same Woman Doc and the Wife loves it because the Joke is the Doc checks me to make sure everything works, sometimes doing a House Call...
  • Definitely same gender! For flight physicals I always hoped the nurse taking my blood pressure didn't show any cleavage, and wasn't attractive in my eyes. I actually had to struggle to close my eyes a few times as my BP and heart rate climbed quite rapidly. I would be quite fearful of a different type of um "problem" presenting itself if I had a female doctor and was being examined more in depth. Sometimes testosterone can be so difficult to deal with!
  • It doesn't matter what gender they are to me. And I don't mind undressing for either gender as well. As long as they are experts and professional in their field, the issue is mute to me.
  • Male. Hey, how else can an ol'married woman cop a feel from another male?
  • Male only for me. I wouldn't feel comfortable with a female doctor. I would be worried about possibly getting an erection.
  • I have always had a male doctor except for the last couple of years. Being a middle aged woman I am finding that I can relate much better to a female doctor.
  • I would prefer a woman, especially where nudity is called for!
  • I currently have three for different reasons...two male and one female. Through the years there have been both male and female doctors and I see no difference. Some women prefer women doctors because they say they get "hit on" by men. I never have so I can't speak to that problem! :)
  • My Doctor is a female. I'm not comfortable with doctors in general and male doctors even less so.
  • My doctor is male but I've been to female doctors aswell. It makes no difference to me.
  • I don't want to see any doctor ever.
  • I care about competence not gender. +4
  • +5 all of mine are men. i used to have a lady internist that was awesome she left the medical profession to go through law school. now she helps drs fight phony law suits and is racking up ! she loves her new career that uses both of her degrees.
  • I prefer to see doctors of the same gender, although I do have a male dentist and a male dermatologist. All the others are female.
  • My Doctor is male but I do not care about their gender. I use to have a female Doctor and I wish she was back...I am due a prostrate check soon....and she had such petite little fingers.
  • My doctor is a man and I really like him. I actually prefer to see a male doctor.
  • I've had both. I don't care their gender.
