i have no idea what lettering even means. i got a letter jacket, but all i had to do was stay in band until my junior year. i ended having 3 jackets before i dropped out, all free except for my band one because that's the only one i paid to have customized.

Yes, three years in football and one in track. Can't say anything good came of it. I had cartilage surgery on my knee when I was 19. I figure football did that to me.

No, I already knew all my letters years years before getting to high school. I didn't have any need to attend special education classes then. In fact, I even knew several other letters from the Latin alphabet by then, as well. I was WAY ahead of those who lettered in high school! ;)~
