Yes, I think it should. In fact, I think it should be banned while someone is driving - it's just one more distraction.
-
Yes, because it is not likely that the windows would be rolled down or that masks would be passed out beforehand. :)
-
yes, the child shouldn't have to suffer the adult's bad habbit.
-
I don't really see a problem with it if the windows are down.
-
It's one of those things you really can't stop. so there would be no point in enforcing it.
-
It should not only be banned but enforced strictly. Awareness creation and education on the topic to all driving license holders would help reduce the problem greatly.
-
I think its a great idea
-
It already has in the state of Maine.
-
Its a very irresponsible parent that would smoke in a car and let their kids breath in their toxic smoke. Even with a window open the smoke does not disperse properly. As for banning it by legislation I dont see how it would work.
-
No way
-
It's too silly to even think about - no way!
-
It shouldn't matter if there is a law because we all should be following it anyway. Who could possibly object to this one?
-
It's unenforceable but more than that, while smoking around your kids may be a bad decision it is properly the parent's decision, not the state's. It would be one more incremental intrusion into citizen rights. . Somehow kids have managed to survive for generations without this law.
-
Yes, it should be just as illegal as a child not in an age-appropriate seat: carseat, booster seat, or seatbelt.
-
It is here. And people have been charged for doing so.
-
Yes ... and it has been here ...
-
Of course it should..passive smoking is just as harmful as smoking and NO child should be subject to smoke in a car or not..
-
yes!!!! they dont get to choose if they smoke or not. no need to share your cancer with the kids!
-
Sure for many reasons.
-
Should drinking alcohol and driving be banned as well?
-
It would be the sensible thing to do without it being banned; or a law.
-
Oh Yes
