I eat at a certain buffet a lot. They serve ribs once a week. I always put a napkin on my lap. If I don't, I get barbeque all over my clothes. +6

Yes, although I think that's really stupid, because how are you supposed to wipe your mouth on it? I mean, I guess you could just pick the napkin up and wipe it, but that might seem a little rude. Or, I could just lean down and wipe my mouth on the napkin on my lap, although I might as well just give myself a BJ while I'm at it! ;o

Yes, I do. Then I always drop it or get it confused with somebody else's napkin, or my son spills something. I usually have to ask the waiter for a new one at least twice!

No. I tuck it around my neck because if I miss my mouth it falls on my chest, not my lap. I don't care how silly or socially inappropriate it looks it would look worse if I had food stains on my chest.

That depends. If I'm eating at a fast food restaurant, it doesn't matter were the napkin goes. The whole idea is buying fast food. In a fancy restaurant, I keep the napkin in my lap. The napkin should remain on the lap until either it is needed or the meal ends.
