Doesn't happen often, just once in a while for a special occasion, like a meeting of old male school chums. A side of goat, cooked slowly over a spit, by people who have been well paid to do it....(smile)

I'm with gkiker, nuthin' like slow cooked ribs, pork preferably, four or five hours, then sauced for fifteen, twenty minutes. All day to cook, ten minutes to eat!

BBQ sirlion. I bring home the short sirlion ends (you can't cut them into steaks). It is a solid muscle mass meat, very, very lean. I stick it in the crock pot with a bottle of BBQ sauce. 12 hours later it is fall apart tender.

I use my slow cooker at least once a week and have lots of good recipes (soups, stews, custards). The thing I like best, though, is to make cakes in my big crock pot. Yum!
