No, I do not. I think that these political leaders are sinful like all of us. This is always sad when you here of these situations. I think what is reprehensible to the public is that many of these politicians go on about how they stand for “family values”. They sometimes even lead national groups on such matters. They are always posing for the public. Once they have betrayed their marriage mate, surely the public must ask themselves about such figures: “If their own marriage mate cannot trust them –then how can I?”

I could care less what a politician does in the bedroom. If they want to have sex with their dog that's their business. As long as they do their jobs to the satisfaction of the electorate that's all that should matter.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely; we have given politicians too much power and too much control and they have long forgotten who they work for and lost ALL humility and respect for themselves and their positions and their constituents.

I have to believe that it is some form of mental illness, a desire to be caught as a way out of their stressed out lives, or an out of control ego that makes them do it. There is no way a right thinking adult with two brain cells to rub together could possibly think that they, a public figure, could get away with an extra marital affair in this day and age.

I still don't understand why it's anyone's business but his and his wife's, and of course the mistress's. We're talking about private activities between two consenting adults. He did not kill, maim, or injure anyone. He did not molest a child. He did not get caught trafficking drugs or embezzling state funds. He had an affair. The governor's sexual activities have NO bearing whatsoever on his job. And if you want to talk about him "disappearing" for a few days - it's not like South Carolina was going to fall off the face of the earth. So he missed a few days of signing redundant paperwork. Everyone calls in a mental health day once in a while.

Why is it any of our concern ? if the guy was just a Wal-Mart manager or something no one would care. So just because their in a Government office does that make them inhuman ? I don't agree with what he did but it's his personal life . The media just loves to create scandals to give them something to report .
