  • Getting away from home, and experiencing something new. Going site seeing, and relaxing!
  • Getting away from this hell hole, and having new experiences
  • Arriving at my destination. I don't care to stop in between except to eat, pee, sleep, my goal is to get there. That's when the vacation actually starts in my opinion... my wife on the other hand... wants to stop at every roadside stand, cavern, and tourist attraction along the way. This is why I drive...
  • I don't like the actual travelling. Long car rides, planes and boats all make me sick..but, when I GET there, it's the sight seeing that I love. I have to see and do everything!
  • I love the freedom of the road, stopping whenever and wherever strikes my fancy. I love the thought of no one else knowing where I am for a moment in time. Carefree back roads all the way!
  • I also like the freedom when traveling by vehicle, able to keep my own schedule, change it if I want, being able to be spontaneous in plans and stops. I like being off on my own, away from usual routines, and enjoy experiencing other cultures.
  • Coming back home
  • To escape from daily routine. There will be no boss, no deadlines or pesky customers to deal with.
  • the moving sensation
  • the experience
  • the sights, the sounds, the smells, the shopping, and above all the friends I have made or will make.
  • Getting to photograph places I have never been before. I am a VERY obsessed photographer [1] and I do get bored with photographing the local stuff sometimes. [1] I started sorting out my photos a while back and created a site for my favourites, that sites up to over 4500 photos and I am only about half way through sorting my photos!!! (I will post a link, but only if asked to (I am not here to spam!))
  • Everything from leaving my front door ,the airport, arriving at my destination and the holiday itself.then i do it all again in reverse i just love and relish every minute.
  • Seeing new places and people-watching.
  • The people I meet along the way.
  • Letting someone else drive so I can see the scenery.
  • I love the smell of coffee at truckstops in the early morning hours, and watching the sun come up in front of you if you're traveling east, or setting in front of you if you're traveling west. Sometimes I wonder if I'm half gypsy, I love being on the road.
  • about the actual travel part? getting there and getting out of the car! about the being there part? new things to look at and photograph and the way that every day life things matter less.
  • Meeting new people and seeing new things. Noticing things that are different from the plumbing to the food to the way people hold their bodies when they interact to the signs. All of it. Traveling is a great luxury. I am lucky that I have done so much and that I will do more soon. My SO and I realized today that we would rather travel than own anything of serious value like diamonds or art. It was lovely to be in agreement on that.
  • I enjoy learning about other cultures and the people who live in them. I enjoy seeing the world I live in through "different eyes" and realizing that "our way (isn't) always the best way"! Just one simple example, I traveled to England as a teenager and learned that many British resent Americans for rebuilding Germany after WWII because Germany then surpass England in textile industry while England continued to struggle financially after the war. DIDN'T read that in any of my "history textbooks"!!!
  • Firstly, I enjoyed the breakfast every morning in the hotel. Secondly, I enjoyed taking local public transport (bus, train etc..) and enjoy the rides and see places. Thirdly, I enjoyed the freedom, the new feeling when seeing new places. Fourthly, I enjoyed the plane ride. Finally, I enjoyed taking a break. See some of the places I have travelled here. http://www.fibcool.com/cheap-flights/

  • getting away.. the freedom to stop where I please.. trying new and exciting things.. not having to think about all the drama that is at home.
  • It makes me sleepy whed i,m in the passenger side.
  • I enjoy every thing about traveling, the new faces, new places and new experiences. plus your not on a schedule, you get to take time and enjoy doing things in whatever order you want!!!
  • Coming Home.
  • #1 getting away for the everyday things in life, looking forward to the time when we can finish seeing the rest of the USA as we have only seen about 1/2 of it. #2 On the road just hubby & I no real set schedule, we stop when we see some point of interest, spent as much time as we please, taking lots of picture of sunrise & sunsets, see lots of history. talk to people. #3 Find nice simple places to spend the night, good food And I think most of all is the time spent with each other just holding hands, quiet talking, listening to music, seeing the sites together that to me is what is the best part of traveling.....
  • Seeing and exploring areas that are unique. Appreciating the way others live. The chance to meet new people and maybe listen to their story. Loving the time to not think and just be. Taking in the sunshine and loving that, how I love the sun. (thats to make sure we go to a sunny warm place)
  • Adventure Meeting new people Experiencing new food Experiencing new cultures Being able to say, "been there, done that!" :-)
  • A love a sense of exploration, of the countryside, the people, the culture, the food, but mostly the natural world, the animals, the flora, the scenery.
  • I love the feeling of euphoria and the adrenaline rush you get when being in a new place. That first feeling that everything is different and you are starting from zero. Different languages, different cultures, food, drinks, it`s like a natural high.
  • Discovering new things.
  • not being here
  • Reaching the destination.
  • I've been traveling a bit too much on my previous holiday. I realized that the most important journeys for me are inwards to my personality and towards other people near me. But if I could give some good reasons, it'd be: food, warm climate (like in weather), different women.
  • I enjoy the drive and the destination. I don't really like staying in nasty hotels or eating in restaurants. A also don't like to fly, but of course sometimes it can't be avoided.
  • Staying in a good hotel with great food....and then arriving home. The waiting in airports is the worst.
  • The way the landscape changes the further you get from home. Its really great to see. Starts with completely flat land and most of the time I end up high in the mountains.
  • new face..new miliue..new escapades.
  • Seeing the interesting seneries, broaden my horizons, boost my confidence and make memories.
  • Sight seeing
