No, and I uninstall it from every machine I work on and put in something that actually works; Avira. FAR more effective, and no subscription fees :)

No I don't - I has used a few purchase only ones like that and found McAfee to be OK. I have since uninstalled it and just use the free security programme offered by my ISP and installed firefox, i've not had a single problem and actually find it makes everything run a lot smoother, both offine and on.

McAfee sucks. i always remove it from my neighbors' computers when they call me to remove viruses on their computer. It deson't seem to detect or prevent any of the nasty malware .

I was a devout McAfee user until i discovered Kaspersky.

I got it free with my computer and then I decided to uninstall it because it was a carp antivirus software. I decided to buy Norton Internet Security 2008 with a built in anti-virus software. Far better than McAfee.

I keep the McAfee special uninstaller on my USB flash drive. It is the first thing I get rid of when someone has a slow computer.

My wife is an expert with this stuff and she uses Kaspersky. Norton and McAfee can really screw up other programs.
